NEW YORK: The reports say Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip were vaccinated at Windsor Castle by a household doctor.
The Queen, 94, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 99, received the first dose of their COVID-19 vaccines on Saturday. The reports say the couple spent most of the lockdown in Windsor Castle home.
As per the news report, the queen wanted to know this to the public. The palace said, she “decided that she would let it be known she has had the vaccination”.
Records show the royal couple is now among around 1.5 million people in the United Kingdom.
Due to the deadly coronavirus, the royal family did not conduct a traditional Christmas family gathering at the family’s Sandringham House in Norfolk.
